Neptune
“Congratulations, Neptune! Astronomers first spotted the outermost planet in 1846, and since then, they’ve been waiting patiently for Neptune to complete its first recorded orbit around the Sun. On July 12, 2011, that wait will be over. After nearly 165 years of plugging along, the wheezing gas giant is poised to finish its lap around the solar system. It may seem like Neptune has...

Our lives are changing lanes; you ran me off the road. The wait is over, I’m now taking over. You’re no longer laughing - I’m not drowning fast enough.

The boys who kiss and bite, They are the brilliant ones who speak and write with silver luck. They sing in clever tongues, Oh how my knees go weak to be the one. (She kicks and bucks.) Always quick to follow. (The boys are too refined.) Won’t matter tomorrow. Oh, to be in his mind. And if the timing is right, to sneak off into the night, I’ll let myself be taken just for the...

Bowl of Oranges by Bright Eyes
The rain, it started tapping on the window near my bed. There was a loophole in my dreaming, so I got out of it. And to my surprise my eyes were wide and already open. Just my nightstand and my dresser where those nightmares had just been. So I dressed myself and left them, out into the gray streets. But everything seemed different and completely new to me. The sky, the trees, houses,...

How To Break A Heart
thebillsvillebad: it’s nothing to jade a heart, to make it your own. malicious isn’t always a way to stray from. stay away from, but do it. stroke fluid paint one shade darker than the previous artist, layered like it’s needed to matte captives hold. last, pack the scraps of free will in the trash, stand back then ask, “well, would you like me to go?”

You don’t know that this is for you, but I hope that you see it. I doubt you ever will. You don’t always have to be happy. Especially if you don’t feel it. Scream if you need to, cry if you feel like it, rage and run and get it out. Happiness is only so precious because we know what the pressing weight of sadness can do. Everyone has to be sad sometimes. Let it out, find people...

It used to really bother me that I would think of the perfect comeback days later when it no longer mattered. i still suck at that, but it’s ok. I don’t want to be eloquent in that way. I don’t want to be good at bringing people down.
